Abstract

This article explores the evolution of communication from Antonio Meucci's invention of the telephone to modern cell phones. It details the patent disputes between Meucci and Alexander Graham Bell, the impact of the telegraph on telephony, and the expansion of telephone networks. The role of Tivadar Puskás in the development of telephone exchanges and the origin of the expression “Hello” are highlighted.
