Abstract

This study details the founding process of Caracas in 1567 by Diego de Losada. It analyzes colonial administrative documents, such as the Relaciones Geográficas, which describe the territorial organization, ethnography, and natural resources of the region. The study examines the impact of colonization on indigenous populations and the transformation of the urban landscape.
